I recently visited the Philippines and was reminded how much some of us take certain essentials for granted like: 1) Utility companies that provide running water with reliable service and plumbing in each house that allows for a strong consistent flow 2) natural gas lines to each residence so you can cook and heat water

If you take out all the obvious stuff like hot showers and electricity etc etc, the first thing that comes to mind for me is my gas grill. I use it year round. When power goes out I’m able to cook. It’s faster and easier than charcoal and wood (although those taste better). Another would be my snowblower, I can’t fathom the thought of having to shovel my driveway 😂

Omg yes, cloud storage!!! It’s easy to overlook, but having instant access to all my files from anywhere, without the fear of losing them, is a game changer. We’ve come a long way though, Imagine having to carry around external drives or worrying about losing important documents like a few years ago

For me it would need to be hot water. I think we take it for granted but having a tap to give me a hot shower or hot water to wash clothes, dishes etc is so convenient.
