people on here might be surprised to discover that, out of all the pre-parenthood luxuries, what I yearn for most is more time for books

Admittedly a nice point in life when you have time again for them in your life, happened for me about 5 years ago. Only “get” to read Dec-Feb, yet it’s a nice blessing during that time of year. The plus is while the kids are little you get to read so many books with them together.

Not a surprise at all. It's right up in the top three for me, the meat in a sex sleep sandwich.

It's one of the things I'm happiest to have gotten back as my kiddo has gotten older and more independent. Almost five, and I love sitting and reading while she plays.

I believe this though because you get to step out of time into the pages for a that period you get to read.
