Hey bix! Yes, that eth will allow us to execute point 3 (Expansion of the Infrastructure). We always shared that if the entire amount of the LP was going to become not necessary we would have used part of it for strategic initiatives and to increase the utilities around nogs. That’s why we decided to lock the presale for 1 year before an additional longer lock. That was the plan for the presale. A way to cover liquidity and have the flexibility to improve eventual flaws and enhance the utility after the first year. But again, nothing is set in stone. We are still in a brainstorming phase and we are also working on other alternatives. We are going to share these with you asap so you can give me your feedback

The treasury nouns have 0 $nogs to avoid that anyone who would swap one of those Nouns would get the respective nogs. But those nogs have always been allocated to the dao. Since everything was already set and those nogs weren’t going anywhere else we were expecting to do that within Q1.

It's a bit frustrating that until 2 weeks ago we were creating some of the best infrastructures in the ecosystem and now everything we do is related to some sort of scam. We always shared the possibility to use part of our presale to make a strong rebalance of the supply and increase the rewards and utilities associated to nogs. That’s why we locked the presale for 1 year. In Nouns we are full of props that got funded and run without any execution. We always executed and continued to expand our infrastructure and supporting communities, mandate after mandate.

A part will be rebalanced and this time locked forever to continue to ensure a good liquidity to the pool. The other will be injected into the DAO through bids with the goal to increase the Nouns in the nogs pool (which is still one of the most important nogs utility), potentially expand the nogs pool into new nounish DAOs through the same process, guarantee a continuation of the Noggles Club drops and the operations of the team and start a program of "buy back and burn" on monthly basis with the goal to support the growth. We will also switch the lp fee from 0.3% to 1% with the goal to create an additional buy-burn engine. All these changes, linked with the massive burn and the upcoming releases are what we planned for nogs during this year.

NOGS has been our very first experience with a token, in a fast changing environment too, and I must admit I took many things for granted. Again, my lack of communication made a mess and I’m sorry for that. Had I shared more with the community about our struggles and plans, everyone would have had more context and all of this could have been avoided.

Since in 2025 we were going to burn most of the nogs stored in the LP, I took the decision to sell some to support the team across 2024 and thanks to that we’ve been able to expand the utility of the token and our products without relying on additional funding for the second half of that year.

I’m sorry to see the scam accusations about nogs, and tbh if I am a scammer I really must be the most incompetent one in history. Following the plan we outlined for this mandate, we are going for a complete renovation of the tokenomics and supply of $nogs. This includes the burn of at least 50% of the supply which was set to happen between April and May leveraging the planned rebalance of the LP.

We used the last k$ (already unlocked) from the stream to pay some expenses for this month, including the last physical drops of the Noggles Club we had already committed to. After that, we will regroup and figure out how to organise everything in order to support our work across this year.

Gm everyone. Just shared this on camp but sharing it here as a thread too. Prop 766 has been a harsh blow to me and I took 2 days (over the weekend) to recover and reorganise our next steps. NOGS won’t go anywhere and we will continue to evolve it, just like we will continue to build for the ecosystem. Since everything happened so fast and this is our full time job, I’ll need some days to refocus and reorganise everything, from the pipeline of releases to the organisation of the team and everything else.

While I'm super excited we are finally facing the challenge of revenue generation within the DAO, it hits me to see the NOGS pool always oriented on the Against side. To increase participation and voting distribution we are planning to test a delegation program for nounish communities. The idea is delegating to the most active communities (Lils, Amigos, Gnars, Esports and so on) 300M-500M $nogs each. Voting power will be automatically associated to the NFTs of every collection. (for Esport we will work something out) This way, every holder will be able to join NOGS governance directly using their NFTs, no $nogs required in the wallet. At first, the experiment will run for limited time but if it works it can be extended. VWRs will be added as well with the goal to add more context/feedback to the proposer. If you have more ideas about how to include communities in governance let us know!

thought experiment: imagine an iteration on nouns dao with coins (not nfts) and no proposals/voting instead of a treasury, issue debt against coins to fund ideas (borrow from future) now builders, or their backers, have skin in the game. debt repayment closes loop ideas would exist across an autonomism spectrum. degen looping spot leverage to publicity stunts. whatever delivers gains debt is how most ventures get funded and is often issued against equity in the venture itself. debt even powers defi /mog or /higher are likely good meme coin candidates for an experiment like this nouns has kinda become a “pumpfun for handouts” at this point. the reason could be that the virtuous cycle is unrealised perhaps debt repayment could serve the required purpose. worst case scenario is getting liquidated and losing some stake ⌐◨-◨

nouns needs a revolution of common sense. meme proliferation is a half baked idea that justifies a slow drainage of the treasury under the false promise that attention leads to net inflows overtime. WRONG, the world cares about RESULTS. grants should go to individuals with a history of executing and a focus on those that can add energy back into the system equal to energy taken out. shun efforts that seek to redistribute power or grants without equal investment in (this is a sneaky way to steal). art for the sake of art and not propaganda should be reprioritized. if a prop cannot attract economic activity to nouns or eth… DENIED.
