Warpcast Fix: Wallet Verifications @horsefacts.eth patched a Warpcast issue last night that allowed someone to connect their wallet to your fid under some conditions.    To the best of our knowledge, no one took advantage of the issue on Warpcast before we fixed it. Thanks to @0xsec.eth for reporting this!

PSA — wanted to let everyone know that next week we're hosting ~50 developers in the Farcaster ecosystem for a 1-day "Dev Day" in Los Angeles. We invited wide group of developers from the ecosystem. Inevitably there will be a few people who will feel left out. So here's what we plan to do: 1. We're running a Farcaster Developer Survey and will publish the results of the survey. 2. We're planning to share a summary of what is discussed at dev day after the event. 3. We will also do a developer session on a video livestream for those that weren't able to attend to get a chance to give feedback and ask questions. 4. If Dev Day goes well, we will likely do another one in the future.

apparently there’s a dating app launching today that leverages crypto as a form of micropayment. man stakes small amount of USDC to indicate serious interest in the woman (and vice versa) to show more intentionality, since current apps guy is incentivized to swipe right constantly. uniquely enabled by crypto because micropayments don’t make sense with credit cards, which is how current apps operate. @qw shared this example, and says his framework for investing is always “is there a new consumer behavior unlocked uniquely by crypto?” and assess the size of the market (and the size of the dating market speaks for itself).

There are ways to justify this (decreasing marginal tax rates are consistent with optimal tax theory, as you get the incentive effect without the reduction in revenue on the hours that people would work anyway), but in general I'm kinda worried about tax policy being driven by memetics. Becomes a complexity nightmare.
