What we built this week: 🔵 we have been on our toes getting everyone involved for the Based Africa Buildathon 🔵 we launched a content creator challenge for builders to create content with the end goal of motivating more people to register for the buildathon 🔵 we heavily collaborated with other communities, embodying the culture of builders supporting builders, and getting their members to register for the Buildathon 🔵 we have also been supporting our sub-communities with fees for basenames, given that they would need that to register for the Buildathon 🔵 we have been actively guiding builders that are participating for the Buildathon 🔵 we also had our first workshopsonbase through @baseworkshops where we gave a walkthrough of building on @base with @onchainkit 🔵 we have partnered with 10 communities so far and counting 🔵🫡 🔵 we also showed up and gave our support to the recently concluded meetup event/community launch by /fbi

This week we built: 🔵 Hosted episode 3 of our Base Africa hangout, where we took on the topic of wallet security on @base with @homer27 cohosting the space. We had @iamveektoria and other based builders come share their experiences and security tips. 🔵 We held the first and biggest Base meetups in Africa; the @base Africa Builders and Enthusiasts Meetup and it was Basesome in every sense of the word! It was impactful, value-packed, educational, and informative. 🔵 Valuable connections and collaborations were made! 🔵 People learnt more about the Base ecosystem and why it’s important to get onboarded. 🔵 We spotlighted some Basesome projects being built on Base and it was awesome! 🔵 Hosted the live space to onboard the @web3ladies community to @base

This week we built: 🔵 Hosted Episode 2 of our baseafrica spaces where we did a continuation of the discussion about base USDC and what it unlocks for Africa and also usecases We had a lot of base builders Join us We also got started on plans for collaborations right there on the space with @jessechrist and @basedfreaks. This week we built: 🔵: We launched our inugural x spaces as a way to further connect more builders Onchain and create awareness for things going on within the @base ecosystem. 🔵 First hangout was about cbBTC on @base and it was Basesome, talking about what cbBTC on base would mean for everyone and how they can tap in. 🔵 We had over 1.4k awesome builders tuned in and it was really impactful. 🔵 We held another community hangout session where we encouraged onchain interaction, as everyone were made to participate in an Onchain Base quiz centered around Basenames and Coffee Days 2024, powered by @deform .
