I felt like I knew that guy, I guess you don’t fr unless doxxed I also don’t understand the morality in general of the space We give Billy McFarland’s second chances. We uplift the kid making cheater software. When are you allowed a second chance, and when not?

It’s not a great look but from what I understand he pretty much built clanker and then brought everyone else on no? And haven’t they not touched the 17 million in fees? Idk I just personally think that yeah that fund theft was shitty but he returned the money took the L and has now built one of the best things for the ecosystem in a while I am cool with him at this point

I thought so (the bulding the clanker part) too. Not so sure now. Could be (and I'm pretty sure) that Jack ( @dish) was the one behind the clanker tech. But I can't know (until confirmed by Jack or someone else from the team). And no, they (allegedly) didn't simply return the money and take the L. Money was taken from the wallet, sent to tornadocash, then to a CeX. Then the team did an investigation, and told him they know it was him, and threatened legal actions. Allegedly. If that is true, that's drastically different then "I took the money bcs I had money issues but after some internal soul searching, decided to return it". Again, while I concede that people can change, a right does not make a wrong. Not just like that.

Thank you. Don't take this the wrong way. I am not trying to take anything away from @proxystudio.eth role in $Clanker. It would not be the behemoth it is now if not for the both of you. It's just that I was now being concerned that I misunderstood something re team roles and wanted to be clear on it. Sidenote: I can't even imagine what you and the rest of the team are going through. Sure, Farcaster wants/needs answers and some clarity, but you take care of the team first, legally and otherwise. I'd suggest the same to Proxy.

This is good insight and I look forward to hearing from you both in time. I still very much support clanker as a whole and want you guys to find all the success. I think I still have the same opinion that I had previously about proxy but I wont loose sleep over him moving on either. Either way you cut it it's a shitty situation
