I just meant the complexity around regex in zk is really annoying to handle. Also emails can be changed arbitrarily.

That's true, email is finicky and not optimal, but it's still the next best thing for onboarding without an exchange...the alternative was the equivalent of LocalBitcoins which is giga-risky from a (physical) security standpoint.

This is the way I describe zkp2p to people, LocalBitcoins but you don't have to meet some rando in person.

For the more technical...a Web2 to Web3 atomic swap

For a bunch of reasons I think zkTLS is better. Something I’m actively working on at the moment.
