why do crypto wallets not auto revoke any approvals an hour after a user grants them?

Once upon a time, I wanted to submit this, but never got to do it (I don't remember why tbh). https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/time-limited-erc-20-approvals/7749

At this point, for wallets, they don't *really* want to be in the game of auto-execution. Risky [because execution] with questionable upside given that users are so cost-conscious

I like this idea abstractly, the ability to schedule transactions via some kind of hook. You'd need to maintain it rebased over the latest nonce if you make new transactions, but the wallet could hide that. That idea aside, Permit2 has timeouts which we should probably be using anyway. 🤪

Are you referring to onchain approvals or local connections?

Also: it seems like few of them have beneficiary management, the closest you get is 'recent' transactions? I want to save a CEX address and link it to a particular chain so that I don't do that dumb thing I did last year - but nope, every single time I have to remember to bridge before send.

I'm doing product research around this sort of thing as we speak. Got anything else you'd like to see in a wallet? Or biggest pain points?

It requires support at the standard layer (e.g., ERC-20) or an additional transaction signed by the EOA.
