when I check out a new channel to browse for interesting content, I'd like to be able to see top content from the last 7/30d rather than the default feed, which is often lower quality (but more recent).

My (previously) favorite thing for subreddits of new topics is viewing the top posts of the year and all time.

A default channel preview would be great! - posting guidelines about what content is expected - top content of all time - past 30 days - past 7 days And something about how many members and how many posts a day/week. Basic info that informs ppl what the channel experience will be like. Without this, channel discovery is based solely on word of mouth, and is slow.
