Why is Jon Stewart glorifying tedious work? Most people aren't lucky enough to love their jobs. There is little dignity in many jobs, including many white-collar jobs. Why is Jon Stewart lamenting the loss of these awful jobs?

What’s more, it is assumed these jobs are the be-all-end-all, that when they’re gone nothing will be available for those who previously worked at them There is literally no precedence in history for a technology that saves human beings from tedious labor resulting in anything other than a profusion of better jobs
