imho the question is only resolved via demonstration. the convenient circumstance for jon stewart is as much a convenient circumstance for hype: that mutable claims carry the vast majority of the abstract value. the more people can mod & capitalize acceleration themselves, the less of an allegory there'll be.

This segment didn’t sit well with me either. His focus on the job displacement piece is the least interesting & there are so many other nuances to focus on. And of course all areas need people’s optimism and ingenuity to improve things. I do question big tech’s role in AI and shaping policy though
