One of my favourite bands, Shinedown just released a Single today. So a Filmed a fully produced cover of it, and docuemented the process. People say Malazan is a tough series, but the reward is worth it. I think the prose is beautiful,and it truly is a work of art. But as art is human and humans have flaws, this book has many, I look forward to continuing the series, and upon reread I have a feeling my thoughts of this book will be much greater - I can't say the same for most other fantasy I have read.

Bob Dylan’s “Chronicles” hit me hard with how it’s obvious in his writing about his youth he only cared universal truths across history, but his later year notes had many more contemporary news reports. His songwriting proficiency arguably inversely tracked this attention shift and he didn’t seem to notice.

I remember the first time i heard "FRENCH BOSSA NOVA" by LADJI MOUFLET and my head exploded. I couldn't grasp what my ears were hearing at the time..I had heard many attempts of something similar by a dozen artists, but nothing would compare. There are many elements to that production that are perfectly placed IMO..a masterpiece, dude has a great ear. So I ended up making a playlist of my favorites to share with you. Influenced heavily by Baile Funk (see @ghostlinkz.eth recent post about SANGO), but I think he's from France or Dominican Republic? So much talent coming out of France right now.
