I had to ask chatgpt cause I am not familiar with roti. 

Roti is an unleavened flatbread made from wheat flour and is usually thin and soft, while a pupusa is made from corn dough (masa) and is thicker, with a stuffed filling inside.  

A closer comparison to Indian food would be a **stuffed paratha**, but pupusas are made from corn, not wheat, and have a different texture and taste.

it's a signature dish of el Salvador. best way to describe it is like a thick tortilla "cake" stuffed with meats and cheese.

yea they are amazing but I try not to have them often

I can’t eat them anymore with my new lifestyle but there is a Salvadoran restaurant near me that makes really amazing papusas. It was my thing for a while to get them a couple of times a week!
