This is why I like Farcaster. I don’t think of the problem being a lack of decentralization but a lack of open data. Competition forced down to the client experience is powerful.

Agreed. Decentralization isn't a value proposition. It's an enabler of true value: open data, censorship resistance, aligned incentives, etc.
