After many years of reliable service the plastic on my Anova just sort of disintegrated. I guess it's time to replace it for the safety. I'm inclined to just get another Anova but wanted to ask here first, is there another sous vide I should consider that does NOT require the use of a mobile app?

You should try some glue first. It's not a part that has to handle pressure or load. That should be fine with dual component epoxy.

oh no, that sucks! i've heard good things about the Joule but it does need an app. maybe try the Instant Pot version? heard it's solid and no app needed. good luck!
