i feel like a lot of the "just come to farcaster" discourse misses this :(

lots of discussion abt vibes and real people etc, which is probably true (feels more like instagram x reddit in that regard, many more photos of ppl and things)

but the biggest issue is that the content here often feels like it is not what i want to see

@dawufi and I have a channel for Sherpa-ing. It’s a bit of a grind even if there’s earnestness.

Been working on @sumaa and he made a friend in this thread. These guys love DeFi but apparently there’s not enough DeFi protocol enthusiasts here. Which is surprising to say the least.

I suspect the DeFi channel is co-opted by speculation.

Why aren’t there DeFi protocol convos here? I know a bunch of users interested in that, I just don’t think they find each other

no, people just find one another. it just doesn't scale because even those who find each other are like 10 people and rather than creating an island in this part re: protocol engineering (DeFiwise), they just flock back to either X or long-time, engagement-guaranteeing chats like Lobster on TG.
