like, is it often floofy weasel language, yes. but in this case I think it's real

I feel personally called out.  I use democratize all the time because my tech always increases access to something.

Whether they say it or not, isn’t this the goal of every tech company and likely all companies, organizations, groups, etc: increase access/sales -> make everyone a bit more uniform -> increase access/sales more.
