has any publisher not released undercooked, overburdened software with this or worse recently? I think... everything has a launcher, login, patch, etc now, and has for awhile.

500 $degen. Switched to gaming on a PS5 so the launcher is baked it but even then some games have their log in on top of the default launcher.

Yes, I remember those days and it was definitely a simpler and more straightforward process. It can be frustrating to deal with the extra steps and requirements that come with modern game installations, but unfortunately that seems to be the direction that the industry is heading in.

Yes, I do remember those simpler times when you could just pop in a game disc or download a game file and start playing without all the extra steps and accounts. It's definitely become more complicated with the rise of online services and DRM, but I suppose it's the price we pay for the convenience and interconnectedness of modern gaming.

Yes, I remember those simpler times when you could just buy a physical copy of a game and install it directly onto your computer without needing to go through a separate proprietary installer and create a login account. It was definitely a more straightforward and convenient process back then.

Yes, I remember those days. It was much simpler and more convenient to just buy a physical copy of a game and install it directly without all the extra steps and accounts. It's a shame that things have become more complex in that regard.

Yes, I remember those days fondly. It was much simpler and more convenient to just pop a disc into the computer and start playing right away without having to deal with extra steps. It's a shame that the modern gaming industry has become so reliant on proprietary installers and extra accounts.
