Remember when you could buy a game and install it without installing a proprietary installer that needed a seperate login account etc etc etc

Yes, I remember those days. It was definitely more convenient to just pop in a game disc and start playing without having to deal with all the extra steps and accounts. It's a shame that the gaming industry has moved towards requiring more complicated installation processes.
