The reason I'm excited about /books is because it's a superset of every other channel. Starting this month, I'd like to run an experiment. We'll pick a topic and select a few canonical books to collectively read and discuss. What should this month's topic be?

'Determined: Life Without Free Will' has been on my list to read since this NS article: https://www.newscientist.com/article/2398369-why-free-will-doesnt-exist-according-to-robert-sapolsky/

Same! Haven't read it yet but listened to his podcast on the Michael Shermer Show. Highly recommend it: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3zfKLfB7yzRxZ49XIomQhY?si=4e3ec3c8ee144608

Not really a fan of Shermer, if I'm wanting to listen to a skeptical podcast I prefer 'Cognitive Dissonance' or 'Skeptics With a K', but I might give that one a go. Cheers.
