Have a good thread of questions here that Molecule & co never really answered from 3 years ago. My experience with this iteration of DeSci is that the people involved are money folks, more interested in building a financial moat than actually engaging with researchers and contributing to research. It might work. Unfortunately, it plays firmly into the hands of the speculative cycle of crypto, has ironically aligned itself with big pharma, while doubling down on systems like IP-NFTs and now even memecoin style mechanics that aren’t compatible with the long-term approach required in most scientific research.
