As 🇺🇸 retreats from the world stage it's a great opportunity for other countries to start building softpower globally. DOGE cuts to USAID funding and others means someone else can just look at the open data of cuts (e.g of ebola projects in Nigeria, medical research projects in Bangladesh, funding to UN etc) and simply start plugging the funding holes. We're in for a very interesting decade, maybe even a bit of geopolitical decentralization (sometimes called 'multipolarity') if 1 to 'N' number of countries plug these funding gaps and choose to focus on soft power building (the worse would be IMO to let one power e.g China to supplant all this soft power).
