Personally though I don’t think any of this will be net-positive inside of the Jesse’s-taco-attention-economy  we currently have. 

And no one is really trying to solve that. If anything we’re just building the infra to strengthen and perpetuate it.

Precisely. I guess ‘experiment’ has become a euphemism for slightly remixed efficient trend-chasing, but then there’s always funding for that.

So we all just optimise for what’s fundable, meanwhile truly exploratory things become liabilities.  

At some point it’ll change, I just wonder when.

I just wish the "experiments" were more experimental and less doing what everyone else is doing.
