Do resumes need to be 1 page these days? A CMO friend just showed me their 8-page resume, which feels bananas to me but maybe not at these higher levels? If I’m going for head/VP/director of product roles should I go bigger? Really struggling to get callbacks

The ability for a PM to articulate their strengths on a single page is highly looked upon.

think people only care about the last 5-10 years of your career depending on length of career and seniority of positions you're applying to. 3 for execs should be good imho. 8 pages is absolutely overkill.

8 pages is, politely, batshit crazy

I keep mine to 2 pages. Anything more is overkill. Keeping your resume short is both a demonstration of how good of a communicator you are, and also shows consideration for the person reading it (who might be reviewing hundreds of applications per opening).
