The way to fix airdrop Sybiler’s is to incentivise the identification of malicious users by the actual users themselves. Like counter strikes cheating system. A player checks the gameplay of other players and can mark hackers. Apply this same logic. Incentivise with better rewards for doing it.

You could implement such a thing with incentives, not what a user might see as a “punishment”. So in the current meta that’s points for an airdrop and rewards etc for going along with the sale, rather than it being like a “forced” pay or lose it type thing

For what it’s worth, it’s easy to think that money would make it democratic.. but unfortunately it’s not really like that. I think your idea and stuff comes from a good place though and it can certainly still be done regardless!

What if you’re dirt broke? Sure, ideally a smart rich person might come in and offer you options (which they themselves make a % off) but that’s probably not gonna happen. Imagine not having the money and losing it. Would feel like what they call the “poor tax”

Picture this. You think you’ve got a ticket to making real money some day. You also identify with the name. you don’t want to sell it now, when you think you could get more later on. So you hold it, cause you like it too. Then someone takes it from you bc they have the money, and they themselves sell it later4 $$$

And also this sews class divide. The rich will be able to do whatever they like with impunity, the poor will feel (and perhaps rightly so) stolen from.

Didn’t say it was, but you should know especially now. It’s doesn’t matter if what you’re saying is technically correct. The vibe is all that matters. See “faster technologically superior tech” in terms of blockchain useage. Just because it should be so, doesn’t mean it will be so.

I’m not saying it’s good or a bad idea personally, I’m thinking more so what the user will think. And I think as something that markets itself decentralised, having something forced on you is antithetical

Yo this is crazy fkn wild. The ppl will not like this. You should add something like a public vote so that in reasonable situations, like say a creator getting their name, people vote for it. That way if it’s just personal ego or something, people are less likely to steal from inactive people etc
