Yo this is crazy fkn wild. The ppl will not like this. You should add something like a public vote so that in reasonable situations, like say a creator getting their name, people vote for it. That way if it’s just personal ego or something, people are less likely to steal from inactive people etc

Farcaster created this new space for a creator. They can contribute to the protocol in return via paying the protocol a market price and tax.

5% is not a fixed / default rate. Protocol governance chooses the tax rate. 

5%, 1%, .1%, whatever

I’m not saying it’s good or a bad idea personally, I’m thinking more so what the user will think. And I think as something that markets itself decentralised, having something forced on you is antithetical

Decentralized ≠ no ongoing cost of ownership

And also this sews class divide. The rich will be able to do whatever they like with impunity, the poor will feel (and perhaps rightly so) stolen from.
