Something that feels really important to me about building a consumer crypto company is being really honest and authentic about why crypto is involved and the shortcomings that it currently has. I feel like too many times people either try and shy away from it with full abstraction or be too loud about crypto being the future. People can sense when something feels off and I've found its best to address that head on, ask for genuine feedback (both good and bad) and use that as a way to learn about what pisses people off and why they struggle with it.

Agreed - part of this is also choosing the right beachhead audience Ie. Build something for crypto forward (not necessarily native) audiences that will accept the warts and minor frictions of using nascent infrastructures

At some point we’ll also have to move away from crypto being a USP for our products. It has to work better than what it’s competing against without that being an overt value prop. That’s how we break out to mainstream. The Reddit profile character thing is a perfect example of this. All the skins/accessories/etc are on chain but you wouldn’t have known unless you looked into it deeper. Super cool.
