Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you.

In June we'll be taking a 2 year old on a 12 hour travel day with a connection. I'm absolutely dreading it and it's 6 months away. Looking for some tips from the pros. I'm thinking: - iPad with videos saved (we don't watch much TV but he loves it -- trash truck, elmo, ms rachel, etc) - Books (figure it'll be pretty heavy but he loves being read to) - Toys (he's a big truck/car kid so having 2-3 handy I figure?) - Snacks (duh) What else?

I figure it will be more fruitful asking here than on the cesspool app. After taking a while off, I want to read more books in 2025. What should I read? Things I like: - Fiction: mostly sci fi though used to be a bit fan of the Franzen novels. - Non-Fiction: laymen-level technology / business books and stories, modern history (prev read books like Dirty Wars etc, books that teach me something I don’t already know

it would be great on the @farcaster desktop app if you could hit 'N' and it pops up a new cast

ok this BitboyOne device is very cool Pros of this product: 1. love the "play to earn" model moving to physical media, jumping on the emulator device game. wish i had thought of this. 2. cool that it's connected to an ordinal nft 3. allows you to "earn points and farm airdrops by simply having the device running." the website also alludes to "mining" so I wonder if they are betting on a cloud mining network of these devices to create a pool. 4. this is cool -- "[the device] will also work as a Bitcoin hardware wallet and mine tokens from decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePINs) simply by leaving the device running." (via decrypt) Cons of this product: 1. very unfortunate name association in our industry 2. $500 is too expensive for these devices (you can get one of these emulator devices for like $50) 3. not immediately clear how playing the games allows you to earn, would love some more info on that
