Some thoughts about onboarding creators. The more conversations I have with artists - the more clear it is that no one really cares or thinks about crypto at all. It's a weird new world that they've heard about but don't actively care to be a part of because they don't understand it. The "pull" isn't there like it used to be. Sure they can make more money - but often at the expense of cannabalizing their existing audience. I say this because now is a crucial crucial phase for crypto to onboard meaningful talent and seems like everyone is caught in this trough trying to a) get the best creators onchain and then b) drive enough demand to those releases to get them to come back again https://x.com/Cooopahtroopa/status/1914975699993256268

I do think I really hurt myself getting into NFTs. I lost a ton of my audience who only heard about scams and environmental concerns and more than anything it was seen as cringe. We need an industry publicity/ad council that highlights the positive stuff going on, if there's any positive stuff left.

I've talked to many creators where the word crypto instantly is a red flag - the pre-existing impression is hard to overcome. I've found success in two ways: - Community value: most creators want friction-free methods to deliver value to their audience, especially premium members. - Net new revenue: folks who have exhausted other income streams look for new ones regularly

I feel this deeply. When I talk to creators, crypto is rarely the hook. It’s always about control, reach, and rewards that feel fair. We need to meet them where they are, not where we want them to be.

Absolutely agree with you on this. Most creators don’t want decentralization. They want better tools, better economics, and less gatekeeping. If we lead with the value, not the tech, the adoption can actually become real.

First of all, thank you for this deep understanding of artists. Second of all , maybe those who are under pressure, which I mean artists Know the solution to this issue.

Part of the challenge is getting those doing well on-chain to turn and help lift up those coming on chain this year. It’s easy to promote something you’ve had success on but the second helping others do the same is asked most will ghost out of self preservation or apathy- but this is not the way. It’ll change, in due time. 🙂
