Pretty fascinating to watch how heavily dominated the convo on Twitter is by memecoins and how little of that has crossed over to my feed on FC. I see pros and cons to both sides but despite FC being a "crypto app" it's very interesting to recognize there's still a strong focus on shipping over speculating here.

Twitter is only able to have one conversation at a time and it's incentivized to be the worst conversation possible. You might occasionally have a moment where discourse seems real bc an engagoor wants to seem spicy, but it's always artificial. FC is so cool bc larger convos can exist with BAU. There's lore.

Thinking back to the early days of Twitter— still refusing to call it the new name here— it was all about connecting people for meaningful and/or just fun conversations, not about going viral per se. Farcaster gives me that feeling again…

I think the higher entry barrier for FC and the fact that this kind of service mainly attracts people who have been in crypto for a while make this viral phenomenon less visible here. But I completely agree with your observation
