we need a decentralized version of the power badge one that means more and is cross client one that is earned directly for effort contributed

fun opportunity for another client: each user gets ten votes each week to decide who they want to bestow the client's own version of a power badge to. the power badge only appears in your mutual friend group as the top 50, not globally, making gamification pointless

very interesting i actually want something that is global what legacy institutions have is this potable reputation badge that says, with a glance, this person is smart and works hard (eg went to Harvard, worked at Google…) I want the on chain version of this I do really like the idea of it being user generated

so it would be less a badge for algo ranking and more a badge for attracting followers and gaining trust (get a job, raise money, develop friendships) I think we could do it with a token (not sure)

If you're looking for assertable credentials that you want to link to social identities, @icebreaker (h/t @j4ck.eth and @web3pm) does this pretty well

ya I’ve looked at icebreaker and like it. It could really help with onchain CVs i’m imagining something more peer driven and less institutional

Thanks for the tag @cassie ! @commstark icebreaker supports VCs that are centrally issued (“Icebreaker Metal”), fully decentrally issued (“Worked with”), and hybrid issued (“New Yorker”) Any VC can also be private, public, or onchain So can definitely support this! Hmu thru dc or icebreaker.xyz/dan
