Grew up in Nashville. If you can, check out Edleys barbecue (they have a few locations now). Best bbq in the city IMO

Live music: blue bird cafe/bbking blues; Vandy campus is beautiful. Hillsboro village is a bit hippy in a nice way (if still the same!). Lots country music stars live in Brentwood.

Moto is incredible if you want a nicer place to eat Personal fave for food + music is Acme Feed & Seed Pinewood is a sweet food + bowling spot

Apart from the honky tonks along broadway downtown, if you're into it - about an hour or so away is the Jack Daniels distillery. Was a pretty cool experience to see the end to end process of making the whiskey + the iconic bottling when I last went - https://www.jackdaniels.com/en-gb/visit-distillery.
