Why do you think the memecoin mania cooled?

Meta's follow the gartner hype cycle: as a result of "some new thing" the meta explodes, catches attention, then comes back down to earth. 

We've had previous explosions of attention due to frames and tipping; now, AI agents and agent-created memecoins. What metas will sustain as actual behaviors?

It be interesting to see how many net new accounts were created during each cycle, how many are still somewhat active, and how accounts created during a prior cycle re-acticated during subsequent ones.

Sustainability comes from both growth for people staying and new entry points for new people. Everything you listed either is too easy to game or too hard to join if you’re late

I increased my exposure to @anontokenbase by about 20% over the past 24H, buying the ritalin-laced blood in the streets as anons chase the new virtuals meta. Maybe it’s cope, but this is why I like $ANON enough to keep contributing to the open source project for free and also buying what I think is probably a local bottom:

- $ANON is a legitimate, interesting token on @base and base szn is really just getting started 
- it is a great crypto-native meme and is steeped in lore— token was prompted by an anon individual on superanon here on fc and launched by everyone’s favorite token bot @clanker (@proxystudio.eth)
- in just one week, a decentralized team of ANON-lovers has shipped a fully functioning zk-anonymous social posting app, @anoncast by @slokh, which is the only example that I know of of a working consumer zk app. And people are actually using it, followers growing every day.
