2013 was the year of the cortado for me. And every year since. Back then they often got called Gibraltar after Blue Bottleโ€™s name for them, or piccolo after a similar italian drink. Cortado is spanish technically, so you can understand why piccolo was tried, to sort of reimagine the beverage within the framework of Italian coffee names. Gribraltar was just named for a style of glass which is probably why it never stuck.
