In a sense, humans have been cyborgs since we began using tools and language. Technology is now what we do. We use clever ways to extend our abilities, strengths, senses and intelligence. We use it to build collective intelligence. And we convert resources and energy from one form to another. Ants build anthills, bees build hives and make honey, humans 'do' technology.

Tech is advancing with incredible speed. The problem is… This version of capitalism that we’re running is like a toxic fertilizer thrown all over the garden of humanity. It could be tuned and used sparingly and more intentionally and intelligently. I hope NVDA’s tech will make us smart enough to see and act.

Humans have always been biological machines. If anything, tools (including language) give us a chance to transcend this predicament. It's unfortunately true, though, that they're mainly used for other ends.
