My husband was telling me about the controversy in Call of Duty where since it's cross platform you have both PC and console gamers playing together. Console gamers get aim assist to level the playing field but it's been a huge advantage (top players right now use console) so PC gamers aren't happy. Super interesting!

another spin on this is some games (I think Halo Infinite?) can do matchmaking based on what type of input device you use i.e. if you use a controller on PC, you can get pooled with controller players on game consoles; or if you use KB/M on consoles, you get pooled with other KB/M folks on PC

This seems like the ideal path, especially as more input devices make their way into games. I can see a few years from now a multipurpose gun controller used for VR shooters.

It doesnโ€™t really change the issue with AA though Controller players on PC can map their controllers to do moves only PC players can do naturally like Tap Strafing and itโ€™s not a good time playing against that lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ So now you got AA + superior movement ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ
