Token approvals. They're the #1 reason for drained wallets and just seems a security nightmare overall. Yes gas fees would be higher for NFT trades without approvals but that's a fair tradeoff I think. If gas is too high go to L2 or wait for danksharding.

Yeah agree, there is really no reason for the approve model any more, we already have better options. I think we became waaaaay too sensitive to gas costs early on and made some bad design UX tradeoffs.

I also don't like the idea that if I want to list one particular item from an NFT collection I need to give approval for the entire collection. That's just crazy. My comparison is Tezos, where nobody uses approvals. Instead listed tokens are sent to escrow contracts. Much safer overall.
