hot take: anon people with “hot takes” are the most beta of beta energy. sharing a strong POV takes a lot more courage when there is reputational, social, and financial capital on the line — and rarely is that ever the case when one is anon.

Going through the thread looking for this response. 😂😂 We're literally having this conversation on this app because of an anon guy.

That is not the same thing to me. Satoshi wasn’t running around being a hater under a fake name…

I don't think all anon people with strong opinions are running around being haters though. Granted that's more likely with anonymity. But sometimes anonymity is good is all I'm saying. I live in a country where I can put one foot wrong in criticising the government and disappear forever the next day.

that’s not the type of anon behavior i’m critiquing. my bad as i should have been more specific. i feel it is incredibly important for all to have a means of expression and speech without fear of retribution or, worse, death. in your case, anonymity is critical.

You aren’t wrong, and honestly that makes me madder, because I feel like the most visible anons I see just use it out of cowardice, not because of actual oppression. And then nice people like you because you have experienced this wind up defending losers who just want to hide behind their pseud to be hateful. 😒
