hey all! i'm training for my first ever half marathon! would love any beginner tips and suggestions. I've been running for a few months and race is in 6 weeks. but any trainings, pre-race prep, or race day advice would be great!

best advice I wish I got when training for my first HM would have been to be slow and steady on building volume + intensity at the same time. Too much of this at once is a sure fire way to bring on an injury

Poop before the race starts. Nothing worse than needing to find a port-o-potty along the route 😂

I follow Hal Higdon's plans, he's the best. You don't need to do more than 11mi for your longest run, the race endorphins will take you the extra 2.1 on the day of. Make sure to study the course map and run on it if you can. Hills can be killer! It's the best distance <3 gl!!
