Saying there's too many chains on ethereum is like saying there's too many websites on the internet.

Equally dumb.

But how many chains do we want though? 

There are billions of websites?

I want billions of tokens.

I see it as most “websites” that provide a service are powered by a token. It’s much more than websites though, more like ecosystems/platforms.

It’s ironic in how much mental effort we humans engage to categorize and analogize things just to end up at such vague consensus where platform & ecosystem serve the same categorical purpose :)
