Saying there's too many chains on ethereum is like saying there's too many websites on the internet.

Equally dumb.

But how many chains do we want though? 

There are billions of websites?

I want billions of tokens.

maybe something like that

I see it as most “websites” that provide a service are powered by a token. It’s much more than websites though, more like ecosystems/platforms.

I’m buying that 

Chains are machine companies or collectives, which can of course have further divisions, DAOs, etc
