my first boss in tech told me my job is not code but to get people to move in the same direction as fast as possible. it's hard work. she also said convincing Europeans would be 100x harder. they love consensus and give "silent no's" — i ended up having to lobby every dang engineer i met to use TypeScript in 2017..

crypto is the same exact setup, but 1000x harder as everyone seems to have an opinion AND requires consensus before you meet them. it's a super fun challenge, but is quite exhausting.

I recall wel the pain of trying to convince a client to let me port their app to typescript. This was one of those “either I’m doing this or you’re finding another dev” situations.
