How long until we have blockchain-based voting systems for elections? Anyone know of a real world case study already?

I want privacy and the freedom to do what I want, when I want, and where I want as long as I am harming no one. Why is that so much to ask?

That's what I've always thought but man, such a depressing thought that we wouldn't adopt something that improves democracy and takes nothing away.

Probably a long time in the US at least, the US government is very slow to adopt new technology, and if they do, they do it in the least efficient and most expensive ways possible. The FBI didn't adopt email until late 90s. Also, fair elections aren't exactly a priority for them either. Many governments are similar.

I have yet to be convinced that blockchain based voting would be a good idea.
