Why is Polygon successfully integrating with so many partners? (aside from a stellar BD team) Is there something about their tech that is superior to other scalability solutions?

imo the two largest factors are (1) low cost; (2) EVM compatibility; (3) successful albeit false branding as a layer two I expect that with 4844 driving fees down for actual L2s secured by Ethereum they will have major headwinds

Being one of the first L2s (first mover advantage) + incredible execution + helping partners implement can’t be discounted. That and you have high speed and low fees, while inheriting security of ETH. Also their zkEVM update was major. In other words, great product + great execution = 🚀

They were early so have a headstart. They nailed a couple key integrations – Circle/USDC, OpenSea, Uniswap – that incentivize many others. Longer time up and running so more proven.

Curious about this too. Most recent integration I came across, today FYI: farcaster://casts/0x72c2677ca6c925daf1c87aed43f5c6e16004cd6f609909c8bd4a491dbf59015b/0x72c2677ca6c925daf1c87aed43f5c6e16004cd6f609909c8bd4a491dbf59015b

I wonder though if geopolitical / regulatory forces might be used to push American alternatives onto center stage over the next few years? I guess they are anticipating that and really trying to put deep roots in as first movers.

Polygon Labs actually helps with the build out. Leaving the build to the brands wouldn’t work - they’d have to spin up their own teams, without any web3 knowledge, and hire scarce talent. Most products give answers to the test, polygon takes the test for you

Polygon: - Inherits 97% of Ethereum's dev tool work. They capitalize on this well. - Remains relatively cheap most of the time, and they've continued to work on making it usable (even though lots of people complain) - A good narrative for a future of zk-* chains and a path for partners that want to silo

It’s cheap, widely supported, reliable and full EVM compat. Maybe Gnosis chain comes close, but they don’t have the same on ramp/API provider support
