Why is Polygon successfully integrating with so many partners? (aside from a stellar BD team)

Is there something about their tech that is superior to other scalability solutions?

imo the two largest factors are (1) low cost; (2) EVM compatibility; (3) successful albeit false branding as a layer two

I expect that with 4844 driving fees down for actual L2s secured by Ethereum they will have major headwinds

Do you think the major headwind will be re: fees? 

Or will they eventually get exposed as a sidechain with weaker trust guarantees? Seems like the mainstream doesn't care about security until something bad actually happens
