instead of a story time i want to do a AMA in january i had a serious quad injury and in june i became british triple jump champion for the 11th time! i believe that my comeback was due to these five things: 1. research 2. diet 3. sports psychology/ mental preparation 4. intensive rehab 5. rest and recovery ask me anything!

i ate a mainly anti inflammatory/ whole food diet red and dark fruits like berries, cherries, leafy greens like kale and spinach, lots of vitamin c lots of protein whole grains, brown rice /rye sourdough bread organic foods and lots of nuts like brazil and almond nuts olive oil and herbal teas turmeric & collagen supplements foods rich in omega 3 like salmon and mackerel and very little dairy i also ate to suit the phases of my cycle too which helped so much!

ahh this is amazing!!! thank you makes sense to focus on anti-inflammatory foods. did it shift your overall eating habits? is it still your diet as you train?

yes it did! it is hard to keep up 100% esp when travelling so i stick to an 80/20 rule 80% whole foods 20 percent whatever during my off season i less disciplined cos i wasnt fully training and really felt the difference eg less energy and more inflamed so now im slowly getting back to eating whole foods again before my full training starts!
