Did you ask in travel channel as well? I’ve not been to Turkey but hopefully someone else has recently who can chime in

I backpacked around for three weeks but a lifetime ago so I hope it’s improved. Was safe but the men were annoying & presumptive about ‘loose western women’. Blond hair worse for attention.
But amazing place, If time get out to Cappadocia, Ephesus, Olympos. The age is mind blowing & totally different.
