Venice, Italy 🇮🇹

Venice did not always belong to Italy, until the 15th century it was the Republic of Venice, a separate wealthy state, but later its power was undermined by the expansion of the Turks. It was conquered by Napoleon, from the 18th century it was part of the Austrian Empire (interesting facts about Vienna), and only in 1866 it became part of Italy.
