The algo rewards outrage, say ETH bad, go viral.

But numbers don’t lie.

It does not need to indicate PMF. It could be as we'll be first mover advantage that erodes over time.

The market doesn’t need to like ETH to use it. That’s the difference between hype and infrastructure

I don't think this is the rational critics take around PMF, I think the reasonable concern I see is that there hasn't been much support for builders or dapps built on ethereum:
