My biggest concern has been a Base monoculture. I get the initial cohort of users are all coinbase alum, but we really need become chain-agnostic imo. Yes, bringing in more solana users, but also other chains. Perhaps collaborating with other chains for hackathons or whatever.

Hmm if I'm incorrect, I believe this is the perception My main point being that I believe there ought to be a push to become more chain-agnostic in terms of culture. Atm it's base-dominant by far and this pushes people away if they don't main Base.

I don't really follow the blockchain space that much these days. What are folks building on top of other chains that they can't just easily plug into FC? Is it just that they aren't active on Farcaster? If so, why? I get having less support for Solana and other non-EVM chains but all EVM chains should just work on FC. Might be a marketing issue?

No. I want to know about the other chains and people who use them and why they're not here. Farcaster pre-dates Base. Base advertised heavily on Farcaster. People who were on Farcaster got a lot of exposure to Base and started building stuff that Farcaster users like. It became a cycle. Now Base is integration even more with Farcaster. It's a marketing issue. Especially at this scale. It's common to onboard one segment at a time. It's be good to understand what folks are building on other chains and how to get them to build on FC and use FC instead of X since X is not deeply integrated with blockchains like FC is so I'm sure they could get a great experience if they were here too. And we'd help them get there.

Yeah I totally get catering towards an initial group of people and expanding! If I had my way, I'd create a BD role that actively is reaching out to projects to integrate FC as the social layer. And my niche would be gaming. A clear example is Epic Games. They offer a web2 version of what FC does, but with 100's of millions from their Fortnite social graph. It's free to use for all gamedevs (accounts, chat, status, DMs, etc). So I'd copy their playbook and pitch to onchain games to use FC as chat, friends, etc Specifically, I'll look at the Ronin chain where most games are being built atm.
